General Information

Northampton Soccer Club fields competitive boys and girls travel teams in the Lehigh Valley Youth Soccer League. NSC focuses on improvement of soccer skills at a high level of competition and player commitment.  NSC offers  training to coaches and players. Most teams enter tournaments and may offer additional specialized training opportunities.

Only teams with sufficient numbers of qualified players will be fielded as determined by NSC tryouts.  Successful players will have had competitive playing experience. For non-travel teams, non-competitive, and younger age teams please contact an athletic association listed on our main web page.

Tryouts

Placement of the most qualified players is through competitive tryouts. You must be available for  tryouts. Playing on a prior NSC team does not guarantee placement on a future team. You must try-out. (For fall  season -  Directions for tryouts at Moore Recreation )

Tryouts measure your capabilities as a player and team member. This includes such aspects as soccer knowledge and skill, speed, following coaching directions, working with other players, commitment, timeliness, competitiveness, and fitness. Fees and Refunds

Fees are paid during registration. If a player is not offered a team position your uncashed check will be returned for a full refund. Registration does not cover uniforms, and tournament fees collected by individual teams.  Most teams enter tournaments, which are additional cost.

Commitment

** Playing on an NSC team is a serious commitment. If you are considering playing two teams, be courteous to your potential team mates and coach by informing the coach prior to tryouts. Parents are required to help with the snack stand during home games.

  * Tuesday April 29, Northampton HS Girls Soccer match - 6:30pm

  * Tuesday May 6, Bicentenial Park Pavillion - 6-8pm

  * Thursday May 8, Moore Rec Center Pavillion - 6-8pm

  * Saturday May 10, Danielsville Park Pavillion - 9-11am

Fee:$50 U-10 thru U-13, $70 for U-14 and higher

Try Outs:    dates will be scheduled between May 21 - June 6

To register by mail ...

1.       Read "General Information" above before proceeding.  Your

  registration confirms you have read and understand this information.

2.Print and complete the NSC registration form.  Keep a copy for your records.

* NSC club player registration form must be completed in full.

* Registration must be signed by parent and player. 

* Parents, please include your e-mail address.

* Use the age chart below to determine playing age.

3.Mail to P.O. address listed above.

* Do not send birth certificates or pictures.

* Payment and form(s) must be mailed together and form signed by player and parent.

* No cash - checks payable to "NSC". 

* Write player's names on the check.

Fees and Refund Policy

If a player is not offered a team position after try-outs, they are eligible for a refund.

3rd child, registration is ½ of fee for the youngest registering player.

Birth Dates and Age Eligibility

Please consult the EPYSA Age Group Chart   Note: U-12 teams also take U-11 eligible players.

No players younger than age 8.
