History

After an organizational meeting in December 2002, Northampton Soccer Club operated for 7 months per this provisional operating document.

A lengthy development and review process began in March 2003, starting with the formation of the Bylaws Committee. Adpotion by the club membership was scheduled for June 11. The open club meeting of May 14 was a reading and thorough public review of the Bylaws. With these revisions and more to be made, the draft documents were forwarded for legal review by a solicitor. Final modifications were made prior to June 11.

The Bylaws were approved by unanomous voice vote at the June 11 meeting. Even after three months of committee and public review, the Bylaws are not perfect. But this first document is a great starting point for Northampton Soccer Club.

A Rules and Discipline Committee will to help keep the documents up to date. And club members are also able to request changes to the document, using the procedures established in the By-laws.
